Ah, Negril. Where do I even begin? This beautiful west end town stole my heart my very first visit. It remains my favorite destination to this day.
Starting at 7 Mile Beach with its beautiful white sand and warm turquiose water, up to the cliffs with its caves and restaurants and into the countryside with its lush green landscape and coconut trees.
7 MILE BEACH
Looking to stay somewhere a little different? Check out Sunset at the Palms nearby 7 Mile Beach. This property boasts little treetop bungalows situated in a tropical oasis. If you are worried about missing out on the beach, don’t be, the hotel has direct private beach access complete with a full bar and restaurant across the street.
SUNSET AT THE PALMS
The little boutique hotels dotted along the cliffs make it hard to decide where to stay. At the very end of town lies The Westender with endless pools filled with sea water and offering amazing views.
WESTENDER INN
A trip to Negril would be incomplete without visiting the famous Rick’s Cafe where you can not only watch locals jump from the cliffs into the Caribbean Sea but you can also jump.
RICKS CAFE
Let's not forget those dreamy sunsets with colors and a stillness like no other and the reggae and dance hall music playing at many places along the beach.
SUNSETS
The jerk chicken, the beef patties, roadside fruit stands and rum punch are a must when visiting. You can book a tour to experience the local food on my website.
JERK & PATTY TOUR
There are also many restaurants along the beach and the cliffs offering great food and views. Push Cart and Ivan’s Bar are at the top of my list to visit.

IVAN'S BAR (CATCHA FALLING STAR)
Lastly, the people. The feeling of one love is felt all around the island. The locals are welcoming and quickly become lifetime friends.
